Greetings, and welcome to Therapy Room!

My Story

My name is Robin Casey, and I've been a licensed psychologist for many years. I've worked in a variety of settings throughout my career - university counseling centers, healthcare organizations, group practices, and my own private practice. I've been where you are - wanting to leave a group practice to start my own, doing the math, worrying about the numbers. I know it's hard to make the leap.

One of the most difficult parts of getting starting my own practice was finding an office space for therapy that was affordable. When I was just getting starting, I only needed an office a few days a week and I needed it to be furnished. I also wanted a place that felt like a favorite room, not an office park surrounded by professions unrelated to mental health or a large scale venue that felt more business-like than heart-driven. I wanted a place that felt real. I created that space for myself and my clients, and I loved the process.

When it came time to pursue a different career path as a result of changing interests and new opportunities, I wanted to stay connected to therapists in private practice. I decided to shift from supporting clients to supporting the therapists who work hard to support them. My time in private practice was meaningful for me. The therapists I met in private practice have been encouraging and wonderful. My own therapist is in private practice, and I'm grateful for her beyond measure. I love therapists, and I'm passionate about helping them succeed.

If you are a therapist who would courageously like to start or grow a practice practice, Therapy Room was built for you. I don't want to collect a percentage of your income, as is the norm in group practices. I don't say that to criticize that service model, it works for many practice owners and therapists alike. I simply want to support therapists with a different vision for themselves. I want to support you and your dreams as a practice owner. If you have questions or would like to get started, please reach out. I'd truly love to help.

Kind regards,

Robin Casey, PsyD
